【摘要】:Vaporpressureisanimportantphysicalpropertyofvolatileliquids.Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminethevaporpressureat37.8x00B0;C(100x00B0;F)ofpetroleumproductsandcrudeoilswithinitialboilingpointabove0x00B0;C(32x00B0;F).Vaporpressureiscriticallyimportantforbothautomotiveandaviationgasolines,affectingstarting,warm-up,andtendencytovaporlockwithhighoperatingtemperaturesorhighaltitudes.Maximumvaporpressurelimitsforgasolinearelegallymandatedinsomeareasasameasureofairpollutioncontrol.Vaporpressureofcrudeoilsisofimportancetothecrudeproducerandtherefinerforgeneralhandlingandinitialrefinerytreatment.Vaporpressureisalsousedasanindirectmeasureoftheevaporationrateofvolatilepetroleumsolvents.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresforthedeterminationofvaporpressure(seeNote0)ofgasoline,volatilecrudeoil,andothervolatilepetroleumproducts.1.2ProcedureAisapplicabletogasolineandotherpetroleumproductswithavaporpressureoflessthan180kPa(26psi).1.3ProcedureBmayalsobeapplicabletotheseothermaterials,butonlygasolinewasincludedintheinterlaboratorytestprogramtodeterminetheprecisionofthistestmethod.1.4ProcedureCisformaterialswithavaporpressureofgreaterthan180kPa(26psi).1.5ProcedureDforaviationgasolinewithavaporpressureofapproximately50kPa(7psi).Note0Becausetheexternalatmosphericpressureiscounteractedbytheatmosphericpressureinitiallypresentinthevaporchamber,theReidvaporpressureisanabsolutepressureat37.8176;C(100176;F)inkilopascals(pounds-forcepersquareinch).TheReidvaporpressurediffersfromthetruevaporpressureofthesampleduetosomesmallsamplevaporizationandthepresenceofwatervaporandairintheconfinedspace.1.6Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletoliquefiedpetroleumgasesorfuelscontainingoxygenatedcompoundsotherthanmethylt-butylether(MTBE).Fordeterminationofthevaporpressureofliquefiedpetroleumgases,refertoTestMethodD1267orTestMethodD6897.Fordeterminationofthevaporpressureofgasoline-oxygenateblends,refertoTestMethodD4953.Theprecisionforcrudeoilhasnotbeendeterminedsincetheearly1950s(seeNote0).TestMethodD6377hasbeenapprovedasamethodfordeterminationofvaporpressureofcrudeoil.IP481isatestmethodfordeterminationoftheair-saturatedvaporpressureofcrudeoil.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificwarningstatementsaregiveninSectionsand,and,,,,,and.
