【摘要】:Thistestmethoddeterminestheextentandnatureofcushionthicknesschangeunderstaticload.Creepdataobtainedbythistestmethodareapplicabletothecushionundertheconditionsoftheparticulartestandarenotnecessarilythesameasobtainedinacompletepackinactualpackagingenvironments.Datamaybeaffectedbymagnitudeofstaticload,specimenarea,shape,andthickness,byvaryingambientconditionsoftemperature,humidity,byfrictioninthemovableplatenguidesystem,andbyactualcushionthickness.Vibrationinthevicinityofthetestfixturesmayalsoinfluencedataresults.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofcreeppropertiesofpackagecushioningmaterials.Itisapplicabletomaterialsavailableinbulk,sheet,ormoldedformusedforthecushioningofarticlesduringstorage,handling,andshipment.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
